Ladies & Gentlemen,

The planning of our 53rd Annual barbershop harmony festival is well underway.   We have preserved most of the popular traditions for singers and audience members and have added several new features for 2007.  Attendees will enjoy all of the fun and camaraderie the festival is known for while congregating at the town docks Friday evening and Saturday during the day.  There will lots of impromptu singing and time to visit with old friends and new.  Scenic boat tours of Alton Bay will be available aboard the Winnipesaukee Belle.  The afternoon will feature more amazing deals through the ever popular Silent Auction and there will be afterglows or late night parties on both days.  Of course, the whole weekend reaches a climax at the Saturday Evening Feature Show which will include dozens of the best barbershop quartets and choruses from New England and beyond.  It is an a cappella variety show and is among the best in the Eastern United States.

New events for 2007 include the Harmony on the Lake Charity Golf Tournament held on Friday afternoon at the Kingswood Golf Club, a professional Don Ross designed course located in Wolfeboro, NH.  We will also launch a brand new Barbershop Harmony Comedy Show on Friday evening and an all-you-can-eat Yankee Pot Roast Dinner on Saturday evening held right before the show at the same location.  This will offer a great chance to relax and visit with other barbershop harmony fans.  Be assured that there is plenty of space available at all festival activities, so come join in the fun.  Contingencies are in place if the weather does not cooperate, so we will continue rain or shine.

Tickets for all events, including the Winnipesaukee Belle cruises can be ordered online.  They can also be purchased at the Community House on Alton Bay from noon to 6:30 PM Friday and 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, or by visiting Profile Bank on Main St in Alton.

Friday and Saturday night show tickets are also available at the door.  Curtain is 7:30 PM on Friday and 7:00 PM on Saturday.  The doors will open 45 minutes prior to the start.  If you already have made a reservation your tickets will be available at the Community House as stated above and at the Prospect Mountain High School after 6 PM either night.

If you have questions about any aspect of the festival or wish to learn more about how to book your quartet or chorus on our shows, please contact the Festival Chairman by emailing Roger Menard at rogmenard@aol.com or calling 603-759-2879.
