Singing For Life

I'm sure at one point in your life, you dreamt about what it might feel like to save
someone else's life. Here's your opportunity to experience that wonderful feeling and
save a life. The Barbershop Harmony Society has partnered with various blood donor
agencies across the United States with an event called "Singing for Life". Visit http://www.barbershop.org/singing-for-life.html for information. The site includes several down-loadable articles for additomnal background   The Granite Statesmen are playing their part as Spring sweeps through New England, by helping host  an event locally.

Our Manchester effort

This coming Saturday, 8th May, the Nashua Granite Statesmen, a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony
Society, are hosting a Blood Donor drive with the American Red Cross in Manchester, New
Hampshire.

Where: American Red Cross Donor Collection Center

Location: 425 Reservoir Avenue, Manchester, NH

Donor Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Giving blood now comes with background music. There will be performances by various
quartets during the blood drive.

If you are a regular donor, consider coming this Saturday. If you've never donated
before, it is simple, easy and virtually painless. The whole process takes just a short
period of your time.

Donors will earn a NH Fisher Cats t-shirt, a Free day pass to a NH State park, a 30 day
membership to Curves and a chance to win tickets to the Granite Statesmen show May 15th,
along with CDs of the Granite Statesmen.

More than a quarter of us will require a blood donation at some point in our lives, and a
single donation can save up to three lives.

than music," says Ed Watson, CEO of the Barbershop Harmony Society. "We sing about love,
friendship, family, humor, and brotherhood, but we also strive to live it. In that spirit,
we hope that the Singing for Life blood drive can ease the suffering and give the gift of
life to many members of our communities across the country."
